Dreams

The last two nights I've found myself waking up from bad dreams around 5 in the morning. Yesterday's left me shaken for a few hours. I'd dreamed that I was helping kids on a ropes course and in the middle securing a girl in a harness something popped and I miscarried (though apparently I miscarried a tiny dinosaur, dreams are weird). I hadn't been aware of being pregnant before in the dream (and so far I'm not aware of it in reality either). It was unsettling, but based on the dream I had this morning, I think it is more about my general anxiety and worry than it is of any predictive value.
What kinds of dreams have you been having lately?

I'm looking forward to the weekend, it has been a long and busy week!

  1. A dinosaur? Dreams really are weird! I dreamt last night that my husband made us sell our house and move into a trailer park so we could save money for adoption and IVF. Only, the trailer park was not paved and we didn't have any place to store his motorcycle, so he didn't want to move in there, and we ended up living in a motel.

  2. I remember dreaming I miscarried 3 babies when I was first pregnant. They were all different sizes and gestational ages. I remember scoping out every single bathroom I went into to make sure it didnt even remotely resemble the one from my dream.

Lately, I've been having sex dreams again... Can we say that someone is missing the lovings? ;)

  3. My strange dreams usually have elements of usually a recently-watched science fiction or adventure movie intermingled with past and present real life people, pets and things. I sure hope they are not predictions, because I do not think I could deal with my dog and my 3rd grade teacher in an "Indiana Jones" type adventure.

  4. Months ago I dreamed that I was in the doctor's office for an ultrasound to check on my endo, and I ended up finding out I was pregnant and then going into labor and giving birth right there.

I usually have dreams at the end of the 2ww - and when I'm super stressed. One of my least favorite was that I was being attacked by a strange man in the house I grew up in and I couldn't close the door fast enough. That was terrifying.

  6. My nurse just mentioned to me today that bad dreams are a very common symptom of pregnancy. So put that in your pipe and smoke it Ms. PUPO! ;) Good luck!
